Bangladesh chief justice. Dec 24, 2025 · President Mohammed Shahabuddin has appointed Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury of the Appellate Division as the 26th chief justice of Bangladesh. Sources said on Monday that the government would issue a gazette notification at any time. He was elevated to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh on 13 August 2024. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court Division on 27 August 2003 and was appointed as a permanent Judge of the same Division on 27 August 2005.
